Refund Policy

Last updated 5 September 2026.

This policy sits alongside our Terms of Service. Statutory rights where you live always take precedence over anything written here.

Try it before you pay

ALT+ has a free tier that is deliberately useful rather than crippled: the end-of-day cross-section, real quant studies and a small watchlist. It exists so you can judge whether the engine is any good before spending anything. We would rather you decide on the free tier than ask for a refund later.

Subscriptions

  • Cancel any time. Your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling does not cut you off immediately.
  • We do not automatically refund the unused part of a period, because you keep the access you paid for until it ends.
  • New subscriptions: full refund within [cooling-off window, e.g. 14 days — TO BE SUPPLIED] of your first payment, no reason needed.
  • Renewals charged by mistake: if you meant to cancel and were billed for a new period you have not meaningfully used, tell us and we will refund it. We do not require an argument for this.

Day passes

A day pass is a one-time purchase of 24 hours of access. It does not renew. Buying a second while one is running extends it rather than replacing it, so you never lose time you paid for.

Day passes are [refundable / non-refundable once access begins — decide — TO BE SUPPLIED]. If access could not be delivered — the platform was down, or your pass did not activate — we refund it in full regardless.

When we always refund

  • You were charged twice for the same period.
  • You were charged after cancelling.
  • A payment succeeded but your plan never activated.
  • A sustained outage meant you could not use what you paid for.

The third case is worth naming explicitly. Payment and access are separate systems, and if they ever disagree the error is ours. We record every billing failure so these can be found and corrected without you having to prove anything.

What we do not refund

  • Trading or investment losses. ALT+ is a research tool and gives no investment advice — see section 2 of the Terms.
  • Periods you used in full and then decided you did not want.
  • Accounts ended for fraud or abuse of the service.

How to ask

Email intel@altplus.work with the email on the account and roughly when you were charged. That is enough — you do not need the invoice number. We reply within [response commitment, e.g. 3 business days — TO BE SUPPLIED] and approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe, typically arriving in 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

Disputes

If you think a charge is wrong, please email us before opening a chargeback. A chargeback freezes the account while the bank investigates, which takes weeks; we can usually resolve the same problem the same day.
